How to choose a job? Check out the things you should check before coming to a final decision. Also, learn what to do if you have ended with an unsatisfactory job.

  1. No matter how renowned company/PSU it is, NEVER believe its claims on perks & salary unless they give it in written.
  2. Contact an employee (Quora/Facebook/personally etc) regarding the organization. Don’t judge him to be a liar if he doesn’t have anything good to say because, believe me, people sometimes have many unfortunate reasons of continuing unwillingly. Instead, contact another employee.
  3. If the job isn’t on a short term basis, definitely enquire about the social life & presence of colleagues of your age group also, because a long-term bland high salary job just isn’t worth it.
  4. Human Resources Department (HR) does have the power to make your office life hell. The memes on them aren’t made just like that.
  5. Always keep proof of even the minuscule things.

Advice: Never lose hope. It’s not difficult to change stream.

Try learning everything about the new industry that you are trying to enter. Check out its Youtube videos. Make some dummy projects before applying because a company is not going to employ a person who neither has a background nor has done any projects before.

All the best!
