This article is only for those people who are unhappy/dissatisfied with their income but can afford the basic necessities in life.

Today everyone is constantly chasing jobs with better pay. And honestly, it’s not hard to see why. It’s frustrating when people with less skill, less effort, or even sheer luck end up earning more. It feels like talent and hard work aren’t always enough to get ahead anymore. All this hullabaloo gets a person into depression & unhappiness.

But doesn't this viewpoint need a second thought?

Is it really logical to be depressed (jealous actually) with your friend's higher income?
Obviously you haven't checked how much money is actually going into his pocket. I mean, his house rent might be higher & he has to pay it single-handedly, or the cost of living in his city may be sky-high, or he might be having to invest into the health issues of some unhealthy relative, and so many more reasons.
You certainly can't judge a book by its cover, or in this case - Happiness by one's paycheck!

And anyways, no matter how high your earnings are, there's always gonna be someone earning more than you (unless you are Elon Musk, of course). So wouldn't that end up in you being unhappy forever?!

So to those people who have enough money to afford the basic necessities that they want and the small things that make them HAPPY, I'd like to share something that recently dawned on me -

Even if you aren't fully satisfied with whatever you are earning, atleast don't be envious with what others are earning. Do keep on checking other jobs, but don't cancel partying for it!
Draw a bold line between your 'NEEDS required for living & staying happy' & 'WISHES', because the moment this line disappears, your mind would fall into a black hole, and only an article like this one can help you out 😉

Always remember that if you and the person earning more than you are able to end up with the amount of money that is not making you people end up in tears, then basically both of you are at the same financial place, so Congratulations you aren't missing out on anything!
